Brown County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying two different registrations Monday morning.

While making the stop, it was discovered that the driver, identified as Christopher McCabe, gave the deputy false information.

After the subject gave his brother's identifying information to the deputy, he asked McCabe for consent to search the vehicle, which was denied, the report states.

The K-9 unit was then called, and during the search, a bottle of Hydrocodone weighing 75.5 grams and containing 177 pills was discovered.

McCabe was also found to be in possession of fraudulent checks and several fraudulent identifiers.

He was arrested and charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information greater than 50 less than 200, felony 1, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 greater than 28 grams less than 200 grams, felony 3; and failure to identify.
