Brownwood Crews Respond to Large House Fire

Responding crews saw visible flames upon arrival. Significant damage was caused by the fire, including partial structure collapse, according to officials.
No injuries were reported, as the residents were not home at the time of the fire.
Multiple Brownwood Fire Department units, a crew from Early Volunteer Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene while Brownwood Police provided traffic control.
Crews were in the interior of the home fighting the fire more than 30 minutes after the initial call. By noon, the fire was reported as being under control with crews still putting out hot spots.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
