MDA Lockup 'Jails' Abilene Community Leaders

By: Adam Singleton
Updated: July 19, 2012
Abilene community leaders were locked up for charity on Thursday.

Texas Roadhouse hosted the annual Abilene MDA Lockup, where Abilene residents are sentenced to call everyone they know and collect pledges for the Muscular Dystrophy Association to make their "bail."

The MDA is proud of their continued partnership with the Abilene community where people can have fun and help a worthy cause.

"We've got a lot of vibrancy here and people are happy and having a good time," says Dick Ford. "They're helping a good cause...so all in all it's just a wonderful day for a person that's interested in defeating muscular dystrophy."

Abilene has played host to many MDA lockups for over 30 years.
