Abilene Woman Sentenced for Leaving Child in Cold Car, Going to Club

A woman who left a child in the car as she and a man were in a nightclub celebrating New Year's Eve was in court Thursday.
 
Witnesses reported that Brady Holder and Jennifer Engel were inside an Abilene club for more than 30 minutes when police contacted them inside.

An 8-year-old boy was inside the locked car when the officers arrived, and the temperature was 37 degrees.

Holder and Engel were charged with endangering a child.

Engel received three years probation for her charge.

Holder was in court on Wednesday, but was rescheduled to appear next month.
