"Lead over, put the foot down, step over the next one. Put the foot down. Look forward, keep your foot dorsiflexed."
Which is?
"Dorsiflexed means toe up," she answers.
"Now start using your arms as you go through here. There you go."
Enough practice, I think I'm ready for the real deal.
"Didn't trust me did you? You didn't think you could do it, did you? It's amazing if you just have a little faith and a little trust," Coach Crousen says.
Faith and trust are the only things that got me through the hurdles and the hand-offs.
Coach Crousen continues, "Marlisa now that we're training, we have, and if you happen to run a leg on the relay they'll send you over to the exchange zones. And you need to know what they are."
"This exchange zone right here. This little diamond, that little one, to this big one right here, that's called your acceleration zone."
"Close your hand on it and as you get, you look forward that way because this is a non visual."
"At least Marlisa knows what she needs to do should she get on that team and make the leg of the relay. She will know what to do."
