We start with District 2-5A and a battle at Shotwell Stadium. The Abilene High Eagles welcome the Midland Bulldogs to town to finish the regular season. Texas Football magazine says that the Eagles will already be playoff bound by this time but head coach Steve Warren's team will be looking to claim another outright district championship. Midland will be in another boat according to Texas Football. The Bulldogs are picked out of the playoffs in 5th place. That means they will enter this game needing a win to have a shot at going to the post season.

The District 7-A Division 2 championship is expected to come down to the final week of the season. The Albany Lions host Hamlin. The 7th ranked Lions are picked to win the district title this year by Dave Campbell's and the Pied Pipers are expected to finish right behind them in 2nd. The Lions have 10 positions filled with returning starters coming into the season, including 2012 BCH Sports player to watch Jake Bumguardner. Hamlin is a bit of mystery heading into 2012. Head coach Russell Lucas has just 3 seniors on the team, but the younger players should be able to carry the load.

The top ranked Munday Moguls finish up the regular season with a road game against the Electra Tigers. Munday is expected to be well on its way to another district championship with 16 of the 22 positions filled with returning starters from their state finals appearance in 2011. Electra is supposed to finish 3rd in the district. That means they probably won't know their fate heading into the season finale. Munday owns this rivalry with 6 straight victories over the Tigers.
