Scurry County Rodeo Wrap-Up

By: Nora Hartfeil
Updated: July 21, 2012
This is the 76th year for the rodeo, and representatives in charge of the event told us that this has been the biggest turn out in quite some time. From calf roping to bull riding, and even a dance, both locals and those who traveled from out of town enjoyed the festivities this weekend .

"This is an annual tradition that's been going on. Some of the founding fathers of Snyder have started this rodeo and put it on, so we just carry on the tradition.", says Bob May, President of the Scurry County Rodeo Association.

Although the cowboys had some warm weather to deal with, May tells us people lined up to pack the stands.
