Early Voting Begins This Week

Early voting begins Monday for Taylor County and continues through Friday.

The community will be voting on Taylor County sheriff between candidates incumbent Sheriff Les Bruce and Deputy Ricky Bishop.

The justice of the peace ballot will include Lydia Long against Mike McAuliffe. For the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, voters will choose between David Dewhurst and Ted Cruz.

The polling location will be at the Taylor County Plaza on 400 Oak Street. That will be open from 7a.m. to 7p.m.

There are also several branch locations around town, including Hastings on South 14th and Books-A-Million at the Mall of Abilene.
