Early Voting Begins for the Big Country

Early voting is underway in Taylor County where residents will be able to cast their votes for Sheriff, as well as Justice of the Peace candidates Mike McAuliffe and Lydia Long. 
 
Residents of the Big Country can also cast their votes for Republican candidates Ted Cruz or David Dewhurst as their race for the U.S. Senate continues. .
       
Registered voters can cast their ballots at the Taylor County Plaza from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. all week long.

There are also four branch locations around Abilene: Books-A-Million, Hastings, K-Mart and United Supermarket on Judge Ely, all of which will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In addition to those in Taylor County, there are several local runoffs in counties around the Big Country.
