Abilene is currently undergoing the construction of several new buildings throughout the city.
At the corner of North First and Westwood, a new McDonalds is being constructed to replace the older building that was recently demolished. This new location will be open at the end of the summer.
Meanwhile on the 1700 block of Pine Street, Hendrick Medical Center and Texas Tech University is building a new Texas Tech school of nursing which will be completed in December of this year.
At the corner of East North Tenth and Judge Ely boulevard, a new Walgreens pharmacy location is almost complete. Construction will end in early August and the store will open at the end of the summer.
