McM Football Opens Tickets Sales for 2012

ABILENE, Texas - McMurry University football unofficially got its venture into NCAA Division II competition underway Tuesday evening with an open gathering for friends of the program to discuss the 2012 season ticket plans, as well as the renovations to Wilford Moore Stadium.  The event took place at the Abilene Country Club.

McM head coach Hal Mumme introduced staff members and players who were present. Mumme, who also serves as the school's Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing an Promotions - gave and update on the University's expanded radio and video coverage coming for the 2012 campaign.

Monte Spearman, president of the HPR Network and which oversees the audio broadcasts of the War Hawk Network, was on hand to update the gathering on the expanded radio presence (currently at four stations this season).

Robin Holbrook - McMurry's Director of Tickets, Marketing and Promotions - introduced the new ticket packages made possible by the changes to Moore Stadium, as well as accompanying perks and promotions for the year.

Holbrook gave an update on the multi-million dollar facelift being given to the War Hawks' home field, expected to be completed in early September before the team's home opener (Sept. 22 vs. Wayland Baptist). Improvements include chair-back seating, suites, expanded press facilities, a party deck, new restrooms and concessions areas, as well as an elevator, to name a few.
