Updated: July 28, 2012
Police collected DNA from a crime scene in North Abilene Thursday because the burglars apparently left behind blood.

According to a police report, suspects used a rock to break out the front door of the Texas Midwest Eye Center in the 1700 block of Pine St. on Thursday.

The crooks then stole about $1,500 worth of glasses frames from inside.

The damage to the glass door, which is boarded up now, is estimated at about $800.
