The Myrtle Wilks Community Center in Cisco hosted their 2nd Annual Gun and Knife Show over the weekend, wrapping up Sunday afternoon. The gun show brings people from all across the state to sell, buy and showcase their items, all while helping to boost the local economy, as well as the business of individual vendors.
"Well being a smaller community it is good to have as many activities and events like this as we can. It brings a lot of different people into town, staying in the hotels," says Levi Goode, the Administrator at the Myrtle Wilks Community Center.
One of the vendors at the event, Dave Thomas, Owner of a firestarter company tell us, "I typically do shows in big cities like Dallas and Fort Worth, but it's kind of a laid back type feeling here [Cisco] and everybody's real friendly."
The center plans to host another gun show this year in November, during the opening weekend of deer season.
