He combined to go 5-for-19 with 2 doubles, an RBI, and 4 runs scored in 5 games on rehabilitation assignments with Round Rock (July 23-24) and Frisco (July 27-29). He made 3 starts at first base and 2 as the designated hitter.

Martin was recalled on June 15 when Koji Uehara went on the disabled list, batting .189 with 4 doubles, 2 triples, and 5 RBI in 15 games for Texas. He has spent the rest of the year at Round Rock.
