Sunny, an umbrella cockatoo, was left in a cage on owner Christina Moore's patio on July 15 while she ran a brief errand.
When the owner returned home two hours later, the $1,500 bird was missing.
This past Saturday, Moore noticed an ad for a cockatoo on Craigslist.
She arranged a meeting with the seller, and contacted the Caddo Sheriff's Office.
At the meeting, authorities determined that the bird for sale was in fact the stolen cockatoo, Sunny.
The seller told detectives he had purchased the bird for $300 from Elvis Robinson III, who lives on the same block as Moore.
Robinson was arrested for felony theft and booked him into the Caddo Correctional Center.
