A number of local singers competed in Abilene on Saturday, all to the tune of karaoke.

This weekend marks the state finals for the 2012 Karaoke World Championship all across the country. One of those contests took place at the Buffalo Wild Wings here in Abilene. The purpose of the contest is to find the two best singers across the U.S. to compete overseas at the Karaoke World Championship in Lahti, Finland.

The two best singers from Saturday's contest will compete at the regional finals in San Antonio, next month.
