As Temps Rise, Fan Drive Continues

By: Nora Hartfeil
Updated: August 5, 2012
We spoke with the Salvation Army today, and they told us they plan to continue their fan drive thru August. They are both collecting fans as well as giving them away for those in need.

They tell us top priority people include families with several kids and the elderly.

"We try to keep it running as long as the weather is hot, usually toward the end of August. September comes around and it starts cooling down a little bit", says James Parrish of the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army also tells us that they have given a way a few air conditioning units. They are located at 1726 Butternut Street.
