DPS: Alcohol, No Headlights Play Role In Deadly Scurry Co. Wreck

New details have been released about what happened when a Snyder man was killed in a motorcycle wreck early Saturday morning.

DPS officials told KTAB 39-year-old Sammy Castillo was riding a dirt bike down County Road 4114 in Scurry County without headlights, a helmet, or a motorcycle license, at 1:36 a.m. Saturday.

Castillo lost control of the bike, went off the road and flipped. He was pronounced dead at the scene..

Officials also said alcohol was likely involved.
