Crime Report: Two Arrested for Assault

On August 4, 2012, at approximately 5:55 p.m.. Officer Ohnheiser responded to a shoplifting call at the north side Walmart. Loss prevention officers at Walmart observed a male placing items into a trash can inside the store. The male attempted to leave the store without paying for several hundred dollars in property. The loss prevention officers detained the male suspect until Officer Ohnheiser arrived. Officer Ohnheiser arrested the suspect, and found that the suspect had an outstanding warrant for Debit Card Abuse. The suspect was transported to Taylor County Jail where he was charged with B Misdemeanor Theft and the warrant.

On August 4, 2012, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Officer Kuchkowski responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 3900 block of Bay Hill Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Kuchkowski contacted a female who alleged that she had been assaulted. Officer Kuchkowski observed injuries that were consistent with her allegations, and a male suspect was arrested for Assault Family Violence. He was transported to Taylor County Jail.

On August 4, 2012, at approximately 11:50 PM, Officer Sumrall responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2500 block of Vogel. Upon arriving, Officer Sumrall observed a male standing over a female who appeared to be in pain. During Officer Sumrall's investigation, he determined that the female had been assaulted by the male. Consequently, the male was arrested for Assault Family Violence, and he was transported to Taylor County Jail.
