Abilene High Head Coach Chosen President-Elect for Texas Coaches Association

Warren, head coach for the Eagles since 1996, will serve a one-year term in a supporting role before assuming the presidency in 2013. He was chosen over Don Clayton of Cinco Ranch and Scott Smith of Rockwall during the coaching school held July 29 through August 1. Current president is Johnny Ringo of Plano East.
The AHS coach has been active in the organization throughout his career and from 1998-2001 served a three-year term on the board of directors of the 21,000 member group. Warren and his AHS staff also guided the North All-Stars to a victory in the 2011 THSCA All-Star Game at Cowboys Stadium.
Warren and the Eagles captured the Class 5A Division II state football championship in 2009.
