Man Arrested For Racing, Ramming Car With Child Inside Vehicle

An Abilene man is in jail after racing on the highway at speeds reaching 100 miles-an-hour with his one-year-old daughter with him.

Monday afternoon, Billy Jack Shaw admitted to racing with another vehicle on the Winters Freeway, and then repeatedly ramming the vehicle when passed.

Both drivers came to a stop at the Winters Freeway and Interstate 20 exit where police caught up to them.

Shaw is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and endangering a child.

His bonds total $90,000.
