"I expect us to make it to the playoffs, at least 2nd or 3rd round, if not further..." adds Senior Josh Beckwith.

The Playoffs are always the goal for teams at the start of the year, But the Bangs Dragons are well aware, that getting there takes one step at a time.

"We preach that we need to take one day at a time and try to get better each preseason game before we start, and that's the way you have to look at it, you cant overlook anyone. I think it will be competitive, it will be a district that if you don't play well any Friday night, you could get beat." says Head Coach Chuck Lipsey

Its a great mentality to have- The Dragons have the weapons and tools to reach their goals this season, with returners like Junior Quarterback JT Newton and Josh and Jacob Beckwith, but it will take a whole team effort.

"Its going to be a deal where the other 10 players are going to have to be contributors, and we think we have 7-8 back on Offense, and so we are expecting good things. We have some younger guys on Defense. We have about 5-4 coming back." Adds Coach Lipsey.

"We have some younger guys who are strong and fast, and I think they will do alright and work hard." Says Senior Jacob Beckwith.

And because they lost a lot of seniors- this year's team will look a little different than last years-

"Last year our Offensive Linemen didn't have to play much Defense and that helped out. We are going to try to prevent that from happening this season, but we may have to have some of those Offensive Linemen play D-Line for us, it just depends on how the younger kids come through."

but with solid leadership and a great mentality, the Bangs Dragons can easily find themselves back in the playoffs in 2012.
