It's a three mile track filled with both natural and man made obstacles. To make it to the end, you can't be afraid to get a little dirty. It's called Mudslinger for a reason and come September 8th dozens of willing participants will dive in head first.

Jon Smith with the Abilene Youth Sports Authority says, "These obstacles slash muddy runs are just going crazy all over the country. We started this last year as a fundraiser for Abilene Youth Sports. We work with all of the youth leagues in town so that the proceeds go to help our program and scholarships and coach clinics and things we try to help kids play more sports and make sports better and more safe. "

He adds, "You don't have to be a runner. You can have all kinds of fun. People dress up and act crazy. It's more about finishing and having fun than finishing first."
