The Baird Bears are entering the 2nd year in the Quinn Conley Era, and they are expecting things to improve from 2011.

The Bears won just 1 game last season after winning the district title in 2010. This season they return 9 Letterman and 7 positions are filled with starters. Those two things, plus a group that wants to improve, and you get team that expects great things this year.

"We don't have as much size, but we have a lot of people who want to try really hard. Im really happy with that, and I think we have really good chances. Im hoping, I think we all what to do really well, and hoping and thinking we will. I think we have really good chances of going to the playoffs. I think we have chances of doing well in the playoffs, and I know a lot of the guys really try." says Senior Dustin Neff.

Extra Points for the Baird Bear:

-Sophomore Chandler McCombs is taking over at Quarterback
-Junior Jake Green is the leading returning pass catcher for Baird
-Baird starts the season in Menard
