The family of the young boy who was shot in north Abilene Monday afternoon is asking the community to pray for his life.

The 12-year-old was shot in the head during an apparent drug deal gone wrong.

After a surgery here in Abilene, he's now in critical condition in a Fort Worth hospital.

The family is holding a community prayer on Thursday at the football field in Anson, where the child grew up.

It'll begin at 7:30 p.m. on the 50-yard-line.
