According to Swinford, the EP release is a precursor to their CD scheduled to be released later this year.
"You can get it on Itunes here in a couple of days and they are available in hard copies if you come to our shows," says Swinford.
Swinford isn't just the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band, he also wrote each of the songs featured on the EP.
"'Abilene Nights' I did co-write with my lead guitar player but the rest of them I wrote, you know, and had help with the band," says Swinford.
The Swindlers have two big shows this weekend, first on Thursday, August 9th at the Lucky Mule opening for Jon Wolfe. Friday, August 10th the band heads to Buffalo Gap to play at the Red Dirt Pavilion with Josh Abbott.
