Abilene Sales Tex Revenue Up for the Year

Combs will
send August local sales tax allocations totaling $632.1 million to cities,
counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts.
Abilene has seen a 9.21 percent decline in sales tax revenue this period compared to last year, with a difference of $371,972.70.
However, for 2012, Abilene has increased sales tax revenue by 9.81 percent, a difference of $2,504,707.79.
This puts Abilene ahead of the state as a whole. August sales tax allocations for the state are up only 4.2 percent compared to August 2011.
