ABILENE, Texas - The McMurry University football head coach Hal Mumme (4th season) will welcome back his players and open training camp in preparation for the 2012 season this Friday (August 10). This will be the War Hawks' first season competing as an NCAA II institution.

Practices are tentatively scheduled for 8 a.m. for morning sessions and 8:30 p.m. for evening sessions. However, times may be adjusted due to heat concerns.

"Camp Mumme IV" has players checking in during the day on Friday before reporting to the field at Wilford Moore Stadium for an evening special teams practice to begin the fall slate.

Classes begin on Monday, August 27. The War Hawks' first game is the following Saturday - September 1 (6 p.m.) - versus Abilene Christian at Shotwell Stadium.
