Abilene Apartments Release Statement After Tenants Complain of Bed Bugs

"There were two units with a problem with bed bugs. Both of these units were scheduled to be treated on Friday, august 10," asserted Property Supervisor Tammy Kister, "which is approximately one week from the time we were notified of the problem. Camelot Apartments acted diligently to schedule treatment for Tuesday, August 7 and the resident refused the treatment. Subsequently, the treatment was rescheduled for Friday."
The statement may serve as a reminder that bed bugs are usually the responsibility of the renter. Often times, like at Camelot Apartments, residents sign a bed bug addendum to their rental agreement that specifies how any bed bug problem will be handled.
