One of the traditional festivities is 'Hands on a House,' a contest where participants compete to see who can last the longest while remaining in contact with a house. Whoever wins, gets the newly constructed house.
In years past, it's been a playhouse, but this year builders tell us they are doing something extra.
"Size wise, this is the biggest one that Brownwood has ever had," says builder Johnny Cantwell. "It's probably three times as big as the normal one that they have. We want to get more people involved in the community and come out to participate in things and see how great Brownwood is."
20 people will be chosen to compete from applications submitted.
This year, the house resembles a hunting cabin.
