Weekend Rundown: Tax Free Weekend and Mud Volleyball

From sports in the mud to a music meltdown, there are fun events in every corner of the Big Country this weekend, starting with a way to save some extra cash for your back to school shopping.

The National Sales Tax holiday goes into effect today and lasts through Sunday. There are great deals going on at the mall of Abilene.

The 68th Annual Fisher County fair starts today and lasts through tomorrow, there are tons of prizes to award for all kinds of neat categories. All the action takes place at the courthouse in Roby, TX.

Saturday August 18th

The music meltdown festival kicks off tomorrow, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Abilene. Zach Harmon and other bands will be live at American Legion Post, off ES 11th street in Abilene.

If you love volleyball and don't mind getting a little muddy, the Breckenridge team care volleyball Mudfest takes place Saturday at the rodeo arena. The cost is two hundred per team of six competitors.
