Here in Abilene, thanks to recent donations, the Food Bank of West Central Texas can now provide more than 50,000 meals.

HEB presented a check for more than $14,000 to the food bank this morning.

The store runs an annual Help End Hunger campaign.

Store clerks ask shoppers to donate one, three or five dollars in the checkout line.

The HEB Food Bank Assistance Program raises money for Texas food banks throughout the year.
