There was a brief gun scare at the Abilene State Supported Living Center this Friday.

Abilene police say they received a call around 2:17 Friday afternoon reporting that an employee on the residence was threatening to beat people up.

The reports also stated that he had a firearm, however, no weapon was ever discovered on the campus.

Therefore, there was no criminal offense, and the employee was simply escorted off the property at the request of administrators.

The agency is going to decide what personnel action to take against the employee.
