Texas Gas Prices Rise, Still Lower Than National

The national average has increased 21.9 cents per gallon on average, with an an increase of 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week.
This makes the national average price for gas around $3.70 per gallon.
While the gas prices in Texas have, on average, risen 3.8 cents per gallon in the past week, they still averaged $3.53 per gallon Sunday, almost 20 cents less than the national average.

Overall, however, gas prices are continuing to rise.
Including the change in gas prices in Texas during the past week, prices Sunday were 7.4 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago, and are 22.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
