There is some encouraging news in the story of the Eastland County man who was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate-20 back in June.

Family members report that Mitch Riffle is getting better and able to do more things for himself.

Riffle is in therapy and has been able to participate in feeding himself.

Family members say he is also speaking more, and now recognizes friends and relatives.

Riffle's family is still looking for the driver of the truck who caused the accident and did not stop.
