Eastland to Vote on Alcohol Sales

By: Homa Bash
Updated: August 20, 2012
Eastland is getting one step closer to allowing the sale of alcohol in the city.

Officials will present a petition at the city commissioner's meeting Monday night to get the sale of mixed drinks in restaurants on the November ballot.

Last month, the petition for the sale of beer and wine was approved.

Both petitions received around 360 signatures, a hundred more than what was required.

The local option election to legalize both issues will likely be held this November.
