HSU Women's Soccer Reports

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team had 33 players report for fall camp on Monday.
HSU went 20-2 and are ranked 10th in the preseason poll. They have a 145-game unbeaten streak in American Southwest Conference play and have won nine straight American Southwest Conference titles.
Marcus Wood's Cowgirls return eight players that started the NCAA tournament game last season and in all return 22 letterwinners from a year ago.
"We have an experienced group and we are talented," said Wood. "We just have to work hard over the next couple of weeks and blend the newcomers in with our returners."
The Cowgirls will open the season with five straight home games including the opener against Southwestern on August 31 and on the next day will host archrival Trinity. The Tigers were the only team to beat HSU last year and the two teams have met early in the NCAA playoffs in seven of the last eight years.
