BBBS Needs Volunteers, Says Little Time Could Change Life of Child

A local organization needs your help mentoring a growing number of Big Country youth.

Abilene's Big Brother's Big Sisters is looking for volunteers to pair up with local kids and spend some time as their "big."

The group currently has over 200 kids on their waiting list.

Volunteers will spend a little time each week getting to know the child.

They say even 30 minutes a week can help change a life.

"Right now with school about to start our greatest need is for folks to volunteer to be a lunch buddy," explains Tim Yandell, Regional Executive Director of BBBS. "Which takes about 30 minutes a week and you just go to a school lunch cafeteria and have lunch with a child."

Interested volunteers can sign up on the Big Brothers website by clicking here, or by calling 325-674-3113.
