Abilene State Park Shows Appreciation to Military, First Responders

Abilene State Park will be hosting two events the weekend of August 25 through the 26 in order to express appreciation for those who risk their lives to protect Americans both at home and abroad.

Abilene State Park will host Military appreciation day on Saturday, Auguust 25 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Military personnel will receive free entrance into the park, meaning one person in the vehicle must be able to present a valid Military ID in order for your entrance fees to be waived.

On Sunday August 26, the park will host First Responders Appreciation Day, which will likewise offer free entrance for anyone who serves as a first responder.

One person in the vehicle must be able to present a valid First Responder ID/Badge.

The event will also take place from
8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
