ACU Accepts Invitation To Join Southland

The ACU Board of Trustees and administration have decided to accept the invitation from the Southland Conference to transition into NCAA Division I affiliation.
The football team at ACU will start playing in the Southland in the 2014 season. Every other sport will start in the new conference in the 2013-14 school. That's next year.
The school will talk about their decision to leave Division 2 in the NCAA and transition into Division tomorrow at a media conference at 12:30 at the ACU Hunter Welcome Center.
