A hit-and-run wreck in South Abilene sent one woman to the hospital Friday night.

Two vehicles were heading west on South 7th St. near Rose Park when one car sped up and attempted to pass the car in front of it.

Both vehicles then crashed and the vehicle that was trying to pass left the scene of the accident.

One person was taken to Hendrick Medical Center with minor injuries.
