It looked more like a birthday party than a prayer vigil, complete with balloons, and music. The only thing missing, was the guest of honor.

With tears and aching hearts, it's clear that a wound left behind in a community is far from healed. And gathering together with a common mission, their message is strong.

"We aren't going to give up. The confidence is that she is somewhere", says Stacie Campbell, of "Hope for Hailey".

Family and friends send personal messages to Hailey, in hopes she will know how much she is missed.

A special message goes out from Hailey's best friend, Heather. "I tell her no matter where she is, to be safe and I won't give up on her. I will stay strong", Heather Ruth tells us.

This week marks 20 months since the disappearance of Hailey Dunn, and her whereabouts are still unknown. The controversial case still sparks many opinions as to the how, and why.

"If it was my child, if it was my kids, I would hope 20 months later, people would be there for my child", says Campbell.

"Today represents Hailey's birthday on Tuesday, which is the 28th", says Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother.

Everyone can agree, almost two years without Hailey has been difficult.

"I'm very confused. I don't understand why she isn't here yet. I don't understand", says Ruth.

"Seeing Hailey's best friend, Heather, here breaks my heart that she isn't standing next to her, and to see her so grown up. I wonder what Hailey would look like", says Dunn.

And while Colorado City continues to heal, the search also continues. For more information about "Hope for Hailey", click here.
