CUAD Hosts Documentary Screening 'Unnatural Causes: Is Inequality Making Us Sick?'

Citizens United Against Disproportionality and Disparities (CUAD) will be hosting a screening of  "Unnatural Causes: Is Inequality Making us Sick?" Tuesday, August 28.

The documentary series explores how social conditions, and especially inequalities among the  social conditions of Americans, affect health and longevity more than genetics and medical care.

The film was produced by Califronia Newsreel, A San Francisco based company, and is being aired on PBS.

After the screening, there will be several presenters:
  • Sharon Owens, Disproportionality and Disparities Specialist, CEDD
  • Robert Lilly, Owner of One Love Cafe
  • Various members of CUAD, Abilene.

The screening will begin at 6 p.m. at One Love Cafe, 2425 South 7, Abilene. 

A reception will follow the event.
