Getting your yearly dentist check up is a must for maintaining healthy teeth. But any one who has ever had work done knows if you don't have the right dental coverage in place, the cost can add up quick!

Unfortunately, insurance wont cover everything when it comes to your bill, however there are still a few options to help make your payments manageable.

"If you come in for those regular check ups and catch it early, like when it becomes a cavity, that's a filling which isn't that bad" says Tiffany from Abilene Dental, "but if it keeps going it's a root canal and that's, you know, thousands of dollars."

But if you're preparing for a bigger treatment, Tiffany recommends a few other options, like a Care Credit account.

"They have interest free, sometimes up to 18 months, so you can pay that out over a time and it's not going to hit you all at once," explains Tiffany.

The Credit Card also carries no down payment requirements, and also works with other medical agencies like veterinary services, doctor visits and more.

"Anytime that you need medical care, for you or your pet or anything, you can use this card almost anywhere," says Tiffany.

For interested customers, Abilene Dental also offers to walk you through the process and make sure you understand how it works, so there are no surprises when the bill does arrive.
