Transcript of David Robinett's conversation with Cooper head coach Todd Moebes:

David Robinett says: "Well coach Moebes, the season's finally here. This is a good time for just about everybody, the fans, TV guys and coaches.  Talk about is going through your head as we get the season started.

Coach Moebes says, "Going out and having a great practice today. Being better today than we were yesterday. We are just focusing on Rider. That's whats going through our mind as a coaching staff and our guys. We had a great practice on Monday. Monday's always a teaching day to be able to install what we're doing and so, today should be a little faster, a little crisper."

David says, "Have you been pleased with the way the guys have come along in 2 weeks? That summer break, it's a long break."

Coach Moebes says, "Yeah, I am very pleased. I thought we started day 1 this Summer kind of where we left off in spring ball, and that was very pleasing to be able to see that. Our guys came back in great shape. They've been practicing against each other for this past 2 weeks, and so, it only helps them to get better. We can get the speed of the game in practice as much as we can."

David says, "You've seen them in 1 scrimmage. Did you like what you saw? Did you like the way that they responded to a road trip and to playing an opponent?"

Coach Moebes said, "I thought we did. It couldn't, you know, I mean, that's basically about the same trip we're going to take to Amarillo, so it was a long trip down to Austin.  I thought they responded well. I thought they played well. You know, they were able to respond to some adversity which is 1 thing that is important to see."
