Dyess May Assist in Isaac Relief

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: August 29, 2012
It's possible Dyess Air Force Base could be called on to help with relief from Isaac.

C-130J planes--Dyess recieved a new one Wednesday--are used for disaster relief missions, and with hurricane Isaac in the Gulf of Mexico, General Williams M. Fraser III with Dyess says there is a chance the airforce will help in relief efforts.

However, as of Wednesday afternoon, Dyess was not on standby to leave for the Gulf, but General Fraser says that could change depending on the storm's path.
