This free interactive oral presentation takes place Thursday August 30th at 6:30 p.m. at the Abilene Public Library's South 14 location.
This presentation will include the reading of a Tooth Fairy book, fake plaque, role-playing as dressed up teeth, and a hip-hop song called Teach Me How To Brushy.
Parents will enjoy the program, along with the children.
Abilene Pediatric Dental Associates have taken an active role in the community to create dental health awareness with this presentation. After the presentation, kids will receive Smile Bags that include a free age-appropriate toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a sticker.
"It's our mission to make sure kids know how important brushing and flossing is, and to be able to provide the tools for them," says Rebecca Martinez, Community Relations Director for Abilene Pediatric Dental Associates. "Our team's commitment to giving back to the communities we serve is at the foundation of our mission. Their efforts to ensure that children in need have the access to quality dental care and the education to achieve good oral health is not only inspiring, it is essential to the overall health and well-being of the children and families we serve. We've done this by providing the only Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist in the Big County, Dr. Seth Ardoin. We've also provided the community with 24 hour emergency care."
Abilene Pediatric Dental Associates know that going to the dentist can be scary, so construction is under way for their new theme park-like environment. The new changes will boast an indoor playground, an arcade room, indoor movie theater, and more. Construction is on schedule to be completed by January 2013.
