Hawley Picks Up First Win of the Season

The Hawley Bearcats picked up their first win of the season Friday night, but they had to go on the road to do it.
Traveling soutn to San Angelo the Bearcats met up with Grape Creek in Week 1.
In the first quarter it was quarterback Logan Thompson with the handoff to Keagan Fernandez for the 30 yard bearcat touchdown. At that point Hawley was up 7-0
Then the defense would step up when Grape Creek's quarterback Sean Ricks pass to Jacob Schmidt was fumbled and Hawley's Cruz Castillo recovered.
In the second quarter the Bearcats would extend their lead with a Ricks to Jacob Schmidt Touchdown, and Hawley would to go on to win 40-6 on the road.
