Two more men who were involved in a brutal beating of a man in North Abilene have been indicted.

Dustin Gonzalez and Mike Barela are charged with aggravated assault after they and two others beat Brian Perez.

It happened as Perez was stepping out of his car on the 1300 block of Orange Street last April.

After the beating, Perez was unconscious for several days.

The family of both Gonzalez and Barela said it was self-defense because Perez had been over to the house earlier with a gun and threatened them.
