"I have a hearing aid. I wear it in my left ear," Brownlie explains.
Samantha wrote "Samantha's Fun FM Book" when she was just six years old.
"Some people have it, have different problems that they have in life, but they don't' really want to share it. I like to share it."
The book is about her hearing aid and the FM transmitter unit that goes with it. Samantha and her brother, Sean were born with hearing loss -- permanent damage in both ears. But their mom says they don't dwell on their differences from the other kids.
Without the word 'disability' weighing her down, Samantha decided to write and illustrate the book, which is on Amazon.com. Samantha and Sean also star in a PSA from the hearing health foundation. 50 million people in this country have hearing loss. Hoping to educate others, and help those in a similar situation.
